Musicians come to me at very different stages of their journey – at the beginning of their careers, when auditions or examinations lie ahead; after winning an audition, when the opportunity to acquire a fine instrument opens up; or as seasoned professionals performing on the world’s great stages.
What unites them is the search for an instrument that is more than a tool – a congenial partner that naturally supports and expands their artistic vision. Some are looking for their first instrument of truly high quality. Others have played excellent instruments for years, yet still feel they have not found “their” instrument.
Drawing on in-depth studies of resonance, tonal quality, and timbre – combined with many years of experience – I have mostly succeeded to find tailored solutions. I build string instruments not through mere imitation of historical models, but through a deep understanding of the acoustic and structural principles behind those masterpieces. On this foundation, instruments emerge that combine the highest tonal quality with contemporary playability – individually crafted to meet each musician’s artistic needs.
As both a violin maker and a musician, I bring together physical-acoustic knowledge, refined craftsmanship, and an intuitive sensitivity to sound, expression, and playing feel.
In addition to custom-made instruments, I offer a selection of ready-to-play violins, violas, and cellos – some already played and artistically tested by talented young musicians through the Fideleos project.
I look forward to meeting you and offering you a personal, no-obligation consultation
