Stringed instruments

My instruments are born not only as a result of a deep knowledge of the classical Cremonese school and the unmistakeable sound quality of the ancient Italian instruments. Jakob Stainer and the Vienna school of the 18th century are also important sources of inspiration for my creations.

I make violins following three of my own models which have different sound characteristics. Fontana (Fountain), Neve (Snow) and Rugiada (Dew) are three forms of the same element: water – used here as an image of sound. Each individual instrument then receives a name.

These names describe the sound qualities and the characters of each instrument.
